Interview with Sami Zeliouche

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I come from the south of France, from a city called Sète. I did my master and PhD in Montpellier and I arrived in Sweden in 2024. I am a fan of football and rugby which I have played for some years. As a hobby, I enjoy watching TV shows or going to the cinema and I love visiting new countries and cities.

What about your educational background?

I did my Bachelor in Material Science and my master’s in Chemical Science of Material of Energy and Sustainable Development in Montpellier University. I have a PhD from Montpellier University on ”Structure-Dynamic-Property relationships of electroactive fluoropolymers for actuators applications” at the Charles Gerhardt Montpellier Institute in partnership with Arkema company. I focused my research on solution- and solid-state NMR spectroscopy of materials.

What can you tell us about the new associated project you’re a part of?

The project focus on the use of refined DNP-enhanced solid-state NMR spectroscopy to depth profiling analysis of chemically modified fibers which are of direct relevance to the development of thermoformable cellulose materials.
