Fibre would like to take the chance to highlight our summer workers on the Demo project: Henrik Laursen-Jonasson (Polhemsskolan, Lund) who will be at Tetra Pak and Michele Moretti (Politecnico of Torino, Italy) who will be at Chalmers.

Both summer workers will screen the new modified cellulose materials that were developed during FibRe Phase I, with regard to processability in both extrusion and thermoforming. In practice this means to test and see what the different materials can handle.

The materials that will be investigated are based on the work that Adrian Eliasson, Johanna Sjölund and Åke Henrik-Klemens did as well as Per Larsson, Giada Lo Re and Katarina Jonasson’s work with the dialcohol cellulose material (DALC).
